Genesis Today Garcinia Cambogia ended up in our number three spot. While this supplement has the recommended 800mg per serving to equal 1600mg a day, they added ingredients that could possibly dilute the effectiveness. This also may raise a safety issue. We decided to take a closer look at the product website and customer reviews to find out all we could about the product.
Genesis Today's version of Garcinia Cambogia is an all-natural version contained in a vegetarian capsule. It also contains 800mg per serving. While this is a plus for them, they lost a few points because of the addition of a few ingredients. One of which is calcium, which may block the body's absorption of Hydroxycitric Acid. They also add; black pepper, potassium and chromium. While these may be good for the body, they may dilute the Garcinia Cambogia and render it less effective. Garcinia Cambogia is best when taken in pure form with no added ingredients.
This product contains the recommended amount of 800mg per serving. This is the amount that the study results recommended in order to achieve weight loss with Garcinia Cambogia. This has shown to be effective in supplements that contain 100% Pure Garcinia Cambogia with no added ingredients. This amount in this capsule may have lowered effectiveness due to dilution of its potency by adding other ingredients. There have been no studies done to prove the effectiveness of any other ingredients when blended with Garcinia Cambogia.
The addition of calcium is thought to possibly block the absorption of Garcinia Cambogia. In theory, this could actually cause very little of the supplement to be absorbed into the system. Calcium is an important mineral for the body and an important part of our diet. It is probably not the best ingredient to mix with Garcinia Cambogia without studies to show it does not block the absorption of this supplement.
When taken in 100% pure form, Garcinia Cambogia is reported to be very safe. Genesis today sells their version of Garcinia Cambogia in the recommended serving of 800mg capsules. This is a plus since the smaller serving sizes can raise the risk of over dosage with people taking too much to increase the effects.
The concern here is the added ingredients of calcium, potassium, chromium and potassium. While these ingredients taken in separate form are generally safe for the body, there are no studies to show if they are safe when taken with Garcinia Cambogia. We would have liked to see something on the website that documents the safety and the efficacy of the added ingredients and found nothing.
Genesis Today Garcinia Cambogia made our number three spot because it does have the recommended daily serving of 1600mg per day, but they added ingredients. We believe that Garcinia Cambogia should be taken as the studies suggest; in 100% Pure form. We feel this would be a good supplement if they left out the extra ingredients.
